HMFF Rabbits &
Cavies
Got kids who want a pet
for Christmas?
I have newly weaned Abysinnian guinea pigs! These are the ones with the
multiple cowlicks all over their bodies. Easy to take care of . Never
bite. So cute! Three litters born November 12th and ready to go the week
before Christmas. One more litter was born November 27th and will be
ready after New Years.
Why pay $30-40 for them at the Pet
store, when you can get them direct from the producer for $20 each?

Rabbit
Trivia:
Why do rabbits twitch their
noses?
Rabbits have about 100 million smelling sensors...
thats almost 90 million more than humans have! Twitching up to 120 times a
minute allows their sensitive noses to pick up even the faintest scent.... an
important survival tactic in the wild where predators abound.
The Winter
Solstice marks that point when the hours of light begin to
increase again. This subtle shift is noticed by the rabbits , who within
about two weeks of the solstice begin to take interest in breeding again!
After the holidays I will begin breeding rabbits. Stay tuned!
Rabbits for Sale
I save, what I feel is, the best bunny from
each litter for the next years breeding program. Right before breeding I make a
final choice of litter sires from that select group and offer a
few others for sale. These were among the best of 2006 and are now offered for
sale for $40 each. One is a chocolate tort and the other is a solid
chocolate/lilac
