The Dairy
Girls. Watch for their babies in upcoming
newsletters. ![]() The matriarchs
of our dairy herd, HMF Charlotte and HMF Henriette are in the center flanked
by Hilde and Starr on the right , and PC and Suzette on the left. Did you
know that Missouri is one of the few states where raw milk can be legally sold
to individuals for their own use? I am proud to say that my children
were brought up on raw milk from healthy cows and later, goats that we handmilked
ourselves. I have sold milk to others for their families. I have produced cheeses
for my table and my friends. We have soaps made from our goatsmilk.
And I freeze it in quantity for cooking and for livestock needs. A good dairy
goat is one of the most cost effective creatures on the farm! BRED
