Seasons Bleatings - October 07- meet the boys

Meet the Boys
Enduring Oaks Feanaro Taralom (elvish for Lord of Mohair!)
A registered AAGBA South AfricanX Angora .  He is good natured, stout, well covered, lustrous and low grease! ... .the best of all worlds... I got his first few kids last year. This year he will be covering all the white angoras and his fleece offered for sale on ebay.

HMFF Coup de Chance  a twin out of HNF Suzette and Beniesoit Tate Tristan AND  with my old herdsire HMFF Jean Luc (the one I lost in a barnfire many years ago!) in his pedigree.  His long elegant lines (from both sire and dam) and his mothers proven milking capabilities earned him the opportunity to cover a few does this fall.

HMFF Amadeus registered CAGBA black solid self. High luster, low grease, uniform fleece and vigorous constitution are the qualities he passes to his offspring. He will be covering all the black factored does again this fall.

HMFF 222y   This colorful offspring of TTT Pinto Macho and HMFF Euruba caught my eye the minute he was born.  I am predicting more SPOTS in the HMFF meat herd in the coming years... what do you think?  By crossing him back to other Pinto Macho does, I also hope to set the bone and girth of Pinto Macho into my meatgoat herd as well.

HMFF Lucius  a pretty copper colored yearling out of HMFF Lindy and IS Awesome is going to get his chance at some of the red does. I just love that color!

HMFF Hershel is a dark brown yearling with a silvery taupe fleece (shown here in short fleece) Very dense and super well covered.  Out of HMFF Clementine and IS Awesome.
Hershel will have some of the red does too.

BT Blackpark aka "Parker"
Long and tall Parker with his lovely silver fleece will be covering the registered BFLs again this year... plus a few of the high percentage BFL ewes.

HMFF #217
This stout ram is a rare silver blackbelly pattern with a uniform hybrid fleece out of BT Blackpark (silver BFL) and one of my favorite old ewes HMFF Guenevere (white BL). Using him will be an experiment to see if the Hybrid fleece will hold true when bred to other Hybrids.

HMFF 220y is a 3/4 BFL, with a fabulous open silvery fleece.  I think he is going to have the Border Leicester girls this year. He is shown here in short fleece... see closeup below.  He continues to impress me.

Whew!  I can hardly wait for spring!
